Haunted phone shows each victim alone beneath the grain chute
Two explorers filming an abandoned grain elevator discover their footage reveals them standing alone with something hidden in the darkness above.
17 dead phones lay on the grain elevator floor before Priya lifted her old one toward the loading chute. She and Kofi had come to film the abandoned machinery outside Bellwether. His cousin claimed you could still hear wheat pouring through the bins long after they were emptied.
The elevator had no power. Every other phone they carried shut off beneath the chute. Kofi blamed the cold, even though it was August, and sweat had soaked through his shirt.
The hand in the footage
Priya's phone kept recording as she aimed it up the chute. Rusted metal filled the screen, then darkness. A pale hand curled around the edge above them.
They ran outside and checked the footage beside Kofi's truck, but the hand was gone. The video jumped so quickly, Priya almost missed it. She dragged through the clip frame by frame and found an extra image between the empty chute and their escape.
What the hidden frame revealed
Priya stood alone beneath the machinery, staring at the camera. Kofi had vanished. Something tall bent down from inside the chute, its face hidden against her hair.
Kofi grabbed the phone, and the image changed. Priya had vanished. Kofi now stood beneath the chute.
Behind them, the elevator door slammed shut.
