Ferry worker trapped on deck by backward footprints and stolen voice
Terrence was sealed in the ferry's lowest deck when muddy backward footprints appeared on clean steel and his own voice spoke through his radio.
The ferry crew sealed Terrence inside the lowest deck, and backward bare footprints started crossing it toward him. He was checking tie-down chains when muddy prints appeared between two parked cars. They began on clean steel, crossed the deck, and stopped at the locked loading gate.
Terrence called upstairs. His radio answered in his own voice, open it. Then every car alarm went off together.
Something moved between the vehicles
Something moved between the vehicles below the windows. Each step left a wet print shaped like a bare foot, with the toes pointing backward. Terrence ran for the stairs, but the fire door slammed before he reached it.
The crew locked the deck after their camera showed someone wearing his face. Water slid across the floor. More prints formed in it and came straight toward him.
Terrence climbed onto a truck bed
Terrence climbed onto a truck bed. The prints stopped below him. His radio crackled, open it.
He looked at the loose chain in his hand and threw it across the deck. The clatter pulled the prints away, so he kept throwing hooks, tools, and anything that made noise, guiding them toward the loading gate. When the ferry docked, the gate opened.
Muddy footprints crossed onto the ramp
Muddy footprints crossed onto the ramp and vanished halfway to shore. The crew found Terrence still standing on the truck, holding one silent radio.
